By using MapRecap at maprecap.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Use of the service
MapRecap is provided as a free tool for personal use. You may use it to analyze your own Google Timeline data. You may not:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute the application.
- Use automated means to access or scrape the service.
Your data
MapRecap processes your location data entirely within your browser. No data is transmitted to our servers. We do not collect, store, or have access to your location history or any personal information you upload.
You are solely responsible for the files you upload and how you use the output.
Accuracy
Border crossing detection is based on GPS data and country polygon boundaries. Results may not be legally accurate and should not be used as the sole basis for official documents without independent verification. Always cross-check with your actual travel records.
Disclaimer of warranties
MapRecap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MapRecap and its creators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to visa rejections, inaccurate trip data, or loss of data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
